Through His Eyes – Berlin

Time is passing quicker than I thought possible these days. Not only are we winding down our days in Poland, but I realized the last time we posted a photo perspective from the kids was in Madrid. (And believe me, they’ve taken quite a few pictures since then!) What follows are snapshots taken and selected by Mr. N. Here is Berlin through our now 12-year-old’s eyes and lens:IMG_1676IMG_1706IMG_1737IMG_1747IMG_1774IMG_1813IMG_1819IMG_1844IMG_1854IMG_1865IMG_1873IMG_1882IMG_1933IMG_1951IMG_2307IMG_1976IMG_2087IMG_2157IMG_2204IMG_2236IMG_2287IMG_2465

I visited Berlin the year following the fall of the Wall. You mentioned that Bratislava felt as though it was on the verge of a new era. That was certainly the case for me in Berlin — and again in Prague but for entirely different reasons. I would love to go back to both and see how they’ve changed and embraced the new order. Judging from your photos, Berlin’s emergence has been remarkable!

Fabulous shots and I found several of them really intriguing. I have always thought Berlin would be a very interesting city. I am sure you’d like to slow down the clock just a bit! 🙂

I am totally blown away, this kid has talent. The composition, perspective, use of negative space and repetition is excellent! I particularly love the photo he captured of you Kristy, it’s really excellent. Good job Mr. N!

Dear Mr N: thank you for allowing us along on the way you saw Berlin. Sadly, I have never been. Terrific collection of introductory photos . . . what I appreciate the most is that you have not just shown what was and has been man-made but the beautiful green areas in and around the city which many do not realize are there. Methinks your camera loves what you do . . .and it seems there may have been al birthday in-between: a belated happy one and have a wonderful time finishing this chapter of your life and turning the page to a new one . . .
