Getting to Know You

Mandy at The Complete Cook Book recently posted a “Get to Know You Series,” and it was a lot of fun to read. So since we’re away from our kitchen (sneak peak of where we are below), we figured this was a good time to share in the fun. Feel free to join along in the comments or on your blogs as well. Have fun and enjoy the rest of the week. good clean farm living

So fun to learn about not just you, Krist, but your whole family! It’s interesting to learn some food (like beets!) are influenced by other family member (you? lol). I like to read this type of post once in a while! ๐Ÿ™‚ I feel like we know so much about your family even though we haven’t met in person! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Purely.. Kay says:

Oh my goodness, you guys are definitely a like in your answers :). But I will say Mr. N and i are in-sync on some of his responses as well. This was fun to read Kristy. I hope you guys have an amazing vacay

  3. Karen says:

I think your group participation was great. I can see that there will be no beet recipes no matter where in the world you will be traveling as long as majority rules. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Charles says:

Hm, no love for the beets… poor beets :(. I’m surprised Mike doesn’t like brie though – is his dislike unique to brie or all cheeses of that “ilk” – i.e., does he eat camembert?

Wow, the photograph at the beginning is just stunning! It evokes such a serene mood when looking at it. What a fun list of questions and answers, I’ve been away and hadn’t heard about Mandy’s series, it’s such a great idea! Yours is all the more interesting because you’ve included your children’s answers as well. And beets, ah, the maligned beet.. I think I loved them because my mom made them with Havard Sauce growing up and anything smothered in a sweet sauce can win me over:D

  6. Kelly @ Inspired Edibles says:

Hmmm… let’s see: Mom doesn’t like beets; son doesn’t like beets; daughter doesn’t like beets… yup, must be genetic! ;-). (I’m just relieved you didn’t list chocolate – phew…… :O). I’m with you on the champagne love sister — when’s our next celebration? :).

  7. Raymund says:

Ohh you should get some ice cream maker, you will never buy ice cream again once you get hold of it, just dont make beet flavoured ice cream ๐Ÿ™‚
    Love reading this

  8. Eva Taylor says:

Sparkling grape juice? Miss A will be a handful for sure! A champagne lover in the making. What a fun post to share, I bet the kids had a blast taking past too. Hope you’re enjoying your holidays.

A fun post, Kristy, especially being you all got involved. Glad to see that pasta figures so prominently in the responses. Warms my heart. ๐Ÿ™‚ Enjoy the rest of your vacation!

Fun post, I’ve seen a few around, but liked the way all of you replied to the questions

I guess beets will be out when you guys come visit! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    (Enjoy your vacations!)

How fun that the whole family played along, thank you guys! Very interesting approach Miss A has about a substitute for salt. I have a sweet toothed family so I am sure they would find plenty of things to put sugar on, even beets.
    Have a fabulous day guys.
    ๐Ÿ™‚ Mandy xo

It’s fun how you all got involved in answering the questions. That’s a lot of basil and sage. I’ve never substituted salt with sugar! So there are no beets in your fridge then? xx
